eFiling system an award winner

The eFiling system implemented by CITEC for the County Court of Victoria has received an award in recognition of the improved service it is providing to Court staff and clients.

The system was a winner in the 2003 Sir Rupert Hamer Records Management Awards, which are presented annually by the Public Sector Records Advisory Council to recognise excellence and innovation in records management in the Victorian public sector.

eFiling allows online lodgement of initiating or additional documents, while Court staff use the system to assign case numbers and accept, reject or suppress documents. The reduced processing time enables most lodgements to be processed within one day. 

Legal practitioners, mercantile agents and credit professionals have been quick to adopt this efficient and cost-effective way of lodging documents.
