Confirm improves property search product
03 July 2008
CITEC Confirm clients conducting online property searches will find the process much simpler from 3 July, thanks to the launch of the Queensland Property Inquiry (Conveyancing) (QLD PI) application.
The new QLD PI will feature access to property information from all 72 amalgamated Local Government authorities and an extensive range of public utility searches, according to CITEC’s Information Brokerage General Manager Peter Buchan
“The increased access to information is in response to client comments on our previous Queensland Conveyancing (QCON) product,” Mr Buchan said.
“Clients will now be able to submit their inquiries online and have the results returned by email. Original certificates will then be mailed to ensure the client has a complete record of the results.”
Enhanced online screens and a choice of return options will also improve the process.
“Clients can choose to have their results returned in two ways,” Mr Buchan said.
“The fully monitored option means the inquiry will be managed by a team of experienced conveyancing search agents who will return the full package of information to the client when it is complete.
“The return to client option allows the client to monitor the return of searches, thus saving money. Clients will also have the ability to request an urgent order for an additional fee.”
QLD PI will replace QCON, giving clients access to certificates from local councils as well as:
- Queensland Department of Mines and Energy
- Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Water
- Queensland Rail
- Powerlink/Energex/Ergon Energy/Origin Energy
- Queensland Office of State Revenue
- Environmental Protection Agency
- Queensland Building Services Authority
- Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management
- Department of Main Roads
- Telecommunication search providers.
