CITEC provides solutions for Information Queensland

24 January 2007

On Friday 19 January 2007, CITEC and the Department of Natural Resources and Water entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the provision of ICT services to the Information Queensland Program.

CITEC's Managing Director, Tony Skippington and the Program Director of Information Queensland, Gary Shaw signed the two year agreement which will see CITEC provide a range of ICT and solutions integration services to the Information Queensland Program.

"This MoU provides a mutual benefit to both CITEC and Information Queensland," said Tony Skippington.

"From Information Queensland's perspective, they can achieve greater efficiency and mitigate risk by having CITEC as its prime contractor for ICT services which will allow them to concentrate on core business activities.

"The arrangement will allow CITEC to establish and maintain close ties with Information Queensland to better understand their strategic business direction and provide an efficient solutions integration service to meet their business needs.

"This agreement for the provision of solutions integration services places CITEC at the right level to add considerable value to Information Queensland's ICT requirements.

"It's a model which will be replicated for other agencies as CITEC's role as a whole of government solutions integrator expands over the coming year."
