Survey search

You can obtain a copy of a survey through a WA survey search. A survey is a diagram of a land parcel showing dimensions and other collected details when the land was last surveyed.

Survey types include:

What will I get from a diagram, plan or deposited plan?

These plan types show the following information:

  • lot size
  • property shape
  • dimensions of lots on the survey plan.

A strata plan may show the following information:

  • building sketch
  • lot sizes
  • title reference details (volume and folio)
  • unit entitlement and common property
  • notifications and encumbrances (lodged over common property only).

What search criteria should I use for a survey search?

You’ll need to enter:

  • survey type
  • survey number
  • your reference.

Field name Valid criteria
Survey type
  • P = plan/deposited plan
  • D = diagram
  • S = strata/survey strata
Survey number Unique identifier allocated to the survey (for example, 12345)

How long should it take to receive results?

Most results are available immediately online.

Some searches may proceed to a manual process. You’ll receive manually processed results via email within three business days.

How do I view the results?

Results display onscreen and are also available from the Confirm inbox for 30 calendar days.
